Are you trained to perform CPR/AED in the event of a cardiac emergency? If not, isn’t it time you learned CPR and AED training? This year during the month of June, the GCADA will be promoting CPR and AED Awareness with our 2 Steps to Wake Up The Heart Campaign. Our dealers and associate members will be alerting the community that dialing 911 and beginning CPR are the first two steps to wake up the heart!
We have partnered with the American Red Cross, who is a leading provider of CPR/AED training, to shed light on the importance of this life-saving skill set. CPR not only improves a victim’s chance of surviving a sudden cardiac arrest, but is also useful in many emergency situations.
The GCADA in conjunction with the NADA Charitable Foundation (NADCF), donates CPR manikins to area non-profit organizations who provide CPR/AED training. The GCADA promotes CPR/AED training year round, but still looks forward to the month of June, as June 1-7 is observed as National CPR/AED Awareness Week, and encourages training courses. It’s because everyone may not be able to arrange classes, or promote CPR/AED during the first week of June, that we take the entire month of June to really encourage CPR/AED training courses and recertification!
During the month of June, the GCADA’s CPR Manikin Donation Program will be extremely active in the community, donating manikins to fire departments, YMCA’s and other non-profits in need. Our dealer members who sponsor these donations are extremely excited to participate and promote CPR/AED awareness in their communities this coming June! If you’re an area non-profit organization who provides CPR/AED training, and is in need of a manikin, contact us or your local dealer!
