Did you know? That 4 out of 5 cardiac arrests take place at home. But, that effectively performed CPR can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival?
To promote the importance of this life saving skill set, the Greater Cincinnati Automobile Dealers Association (GCADA) in partnership with the American Red Cross, is promoting National CPR and AED Awareness week – June 1-7. This initiative is important to both organizations, as the GCADA is a leading provider of CPR manikins to tri-state non-profit organizations that provide training, and the American Red Cross is a leading provider of CPR/AED certification.
To begin the CPR/AED campaign, the GCADA in conjunction with the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation (NADCF), presented a Baby Anne Cardiopulmonary training manikin bag, containing four infant manikins to the Red Cross this past Wednesday, May 28th; the donation was sponsored by Northland Volkswagen. The GCADA will continue to raise awareness throughout the month of June by donating training manikins to other local organizations in need.
No one wants to be in a situation where someone they love is in need of CPR, and they can’t even perform it correctly. For such reasons, CPR training is very important, and strongly encouraged for people of all ages. Members of the GCADA and the NADCF are committed to providing training manikins to hospitals, police, fire departments, schools, and red crosses. Any non-profit organization that provides CPR training, and is in need of one of these training manikins may contact their local new car retailer, or Sandy Moeller at the GCADA office at smoeller@gcada.net or 513-326-7100.
