Fitzgerald Auto Malls protects 45,000 children on the road

Yesterday, Thursday, May 15th marked a very special day for one Maryland-based dealership, Fitzgerald Auto Malls, as they reached a milestone after installing and inspecting their 45,000th child safety seat since its program began in 1999.  The Fitzgerald Child Car Seat Inspection Program was started in 1999 after CEO, Jack Fitzgerald learned the dangers of improperly installed child safety seats.  Since then, Fitzgerald Auto Malls, in partnership with national and local government agencies, has been committed to injury prevention and increasing total lives saved through properly installed child safety seats (“Fitzgerald Auto”).  Not only is Fitzgerald Auto Malls proud of their success in helping their community by promoting public safety, but government officials have had positive things to say as well.

In addressing this cause for celebration, Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler said, “Congratulations to all of our state and local law enforcement and fire and rescue professionals who’ve teamed with Jack Fitzgerald and his staff, for their hard work and dedication to protecting the most vulnerable passengers in any vehicle.”  Making sure that children are properly secure at all times, on every trip is vital for their safety.  The Greater Cincinnati Automobile Dealers Association will partner with Children’s Hospital Medical Center Child Passenger Safety Program during the month of September in an effort to promote safe travel for kids.  For more information on Child Passenger Safety, click here.
